Another Set!!!

Sorry if this is getting boring but I did say I was going to be making quite a few of these sets!  This one is destined for New Zealand.  I unexpectedly received a package the other day, I'll show a picture of what I got in a day or so.  This package contained items for the heart swap I mentioned in my last post.  The items in it were intended for me but there was a mix up about names and a swap should have gone to New Zealand.  So, we all came to an agreement that I would keep the package and then make something for the swapper who should have got something.
I'm feeling a bit fed up at the moment.  When I reached sixty I decided that, being an old age pensioner, I would only do things that I wanted to do.  And what happens?  I got a letter saying I have to attend for jury duty.  There is no getting out of it and it has really got on my nerves that I've got to do it.  Think of all those wasted hours that I could have used for crafting!!!

Lovely set Ann. It has me wishing for spring. :o) I just finished a 6 week on call tour of jury duty. I was lucky in that I only had to actually serve one day but still....

I think jury duty would be great! I've been called twice--once when I was still in HS and once just after. I got out of the HS one because I "couldn't miss class--it being compulsory and all that. The second one I went to, and sat in a pool for 4 days straight until the case finally settled out of court. I felt a little cheated--all those hours sitting in a basement.

I'm afraid that I'm still idealistic enough to think that being called to serve in a jury of peers is a patriotic duty and service, and an exciting part of the judicial process.

But, it sure does interrupt things, and worthwhile people will always have something going which would be interrupted, right? Here's hoping things resolve themselves in the most convenient way for you. :D

Oh, and I forgot to type: About your new set I think it's so charming! I'm sure the recipient will be so pleased. :D

Oh, Ann... I'm with you. This is good crafting weather! It stinks that you'll have to get out of your cozy home and serve on a jury.

But, on the bright side, you've been very productive in the craft department lately. I love the heart set. I'm also loving the gorgeous yellow floral set you made for me. :) Melissa

frustrating for you Ann as it's possible you'll sit around all week and not even be called so be sure to take your crafting bag with you. On the plus side, think of what good you could if your opinion is the difference between an innocent person being freed or a guilty person being punished.

Hi Ann, look on it as something completely new and exciting if you have not been called before and you may get a riveting sex or murder scandal!
As nipitinthebud says take your crafting bag with you!
If you have to get someone to sit with Graham while you attend you may be able to get off on sympathetic grounds, after all Jury duty may go on for hours and even days.
