Some stitchers find bullion stitch and french knots difficult to master but it's typical of me to be able to do them quite easily. Ask me to turn up a hem though and I say I don't do that sort of stitching - I hate hems!!! I saw an embroidery recently that was a garden scene all done in french knots, it just looked like a pointillist painting and I want to try this myself.Wednesday, 14 May 2008
Bullion Stitch
Some stitchers find bullion stitch and french knots difficult to master but it's typical of me to be able to do them quite easily. Ask me to turn up a hem though and I say I don't do that sort of stitching - I hate hems!!! I saw an embroidery recently that was a garden scene all done in french knots, it just looked like a pointillist painting and I want to try this myself.

That is sooo pretty. I can do the bullions, but have a terrible time with the french knots. :)
WOW! great job on the bullion knots. I have trouble when I use floss - but do OK with perle cotons. Maybe it is the twist?
