These tins are for a swap, one for me and one each for two friends. I've covered them with fabric and lace, padded the lid with felt and will be filling them with sewing notions. I used glue to stick the felt to the top of the lid, double-sided tape around the edge of the lid to hold the fabric in place and then I ran glue around the edge to stick the lace on. It seems to be holding fine.
This tin is one out of a set from Ikea. I wanted to see what size of thing would fit into it and had fun rummaging around my craft room for suitable items.
