I've got a few pictures that were taken when I was little. Here's one of my brothers and myself, probably taken in about 1949...
We don't look very cheerful do we!!! I've always had a bit of a sulky look, it used to get on my nerves when people were always telling me to smile. It's just the way I look.

Hi Ann, I used to get that look when my Sister was trying to take photos of me! She could always irritate me! I thoroughly enjoy the old black and white photos...thanks for sharing.
Since I'm here I'll tell you about the soup I made (sort of using your recipe). I used low salt Garbanzo Beans and Black Beans, I had a tiny bit of Tomato Sauce left in a jar so I used that, I used low salt Chicken Broth, I had no wine so used some Balsamic Vinegar (for the acid), the onion and garlic and a tiny bit of olive oil. I remembered I had fresh Spinach in the frig so I threw in a couple of handfuls of that. It smelled heavenly while cooking. After I whizzed it up and put some in a bowl I topped it with shredded Parmesan Cheese...it was so good I had 2 bowls and have enough left for 2 bowls tonight. I see endless possibilities for this recipe...thank you so much for posting it. I've copied it out for future reference...I believe I'll call it Ann's Deliciously Versatile Bean Soup *smile*
Hi Ann, I love the coats ,hats and gloves, things were not done by halves in those days! The whole photography process was probably much slower and you were all fed up of saying Cheese and thinking just get it over with!
What a treasure! I love your outfits - those little coats and hats are adoreable. Which child are you? Were you the youngest? Or the middle child?
